Feminism- What Feminism Is And How Does It Actually Work

Feminism is a range of social movementspolitical movements, and ideologies that aim to define, establish, and achieve the political, economic, personal, and social equality of the sexes.[a][2][3][4][5] Feminism incorporates the position that societies prioritize the male point of view, and that women are treated unjustly within those societies.[6] Efforts to change that include fighting against gender stereotypes and establishing educational, professional, and interpersonal opportunities and outcomes for women that are equal to those for men.

Feminism is flawed because it is a movement driven by people, and people are flawed by their nature. We hear this often enough to conclude that one day women from all walks of life might be able to practice feminism, but many of us will not call ourselves feminists. People think itโ€™s a bad word because the meaning has been distorted over time.

Feminists are about gender equality, which means we donโ€™t want women to be more powerful than men but feminism actually want is an equal right for women or equality for all sexes, women donโ€™t want to be more or less powerful than men but they want to be equal. Feminism also frees men from the gender mandates imposed on them by patriarchy and enables them to recognize who they are and what they do and do not want to do in discourse and practice.

Unfortunately, this is not an ideal world, and there are misconceptions about who feminists really are. Some feminists will argue that women need to articulate what is good for men, which is good for women, but not good enough for feminism. This requires a brief summary of feminist theory because feminism cannot be understood without examining its theory. I am here to raise awareness of what feminism is really about, and not for the benefit of men or women alone.

Feminism strives for a world of equal rights for women, equal pay for equal work and equal access to education. In short, it is a movement for the liberation of women and equality for all women in the world, not just only for men.

This may be the goal of feminists, but it is not the primary goal of feminism in general. There are some things that feminism thinks are bad, but not all of them have to be bad.

Good feminism cannot fundamentally transform society, but, depending on the goodwill of existing institutions, it produces feminist talking points at best. Gender freedom and equality seem to be the end – the point of all this bluster and feminismโ€™s focus on the social good – which is above the social good. The problem is how feminism is defined, not how women and men are defined individually. A good argument against feminism must explain why gender equality diminishes traditional values, and why traditional values are better for men than for women, or why feminism can be bad for men? If itโ€™s not as bad for women as it was, men have no chance of winning a rational argument to fight it.

We need to create a mass movement – based on education that teaches everyone feminism – we need to essentialize it to suggest that it is there for everyone. What feminism is trying to do is and has tried to do, is to bring women closer to the same level of equality as men in every aspect of their lives. I canโ€™t stop thinking about what # MeToo is and yes of course it helped some people to come out and say what they had faced even I have a #MeToo moment but my family is very supportive and this encouraged me to say what I faced… But there are some people who took #MeToo for there own benefits or to defame some good people, and I wrote this because I am aware that there is no โ€œgoodโ€ or โ€œbadโ€ feminism but there is โ€œethicalโ€feminism and โ€œwrongโ€ feminism.

Hereโ€™s what I hope will give you a better insight into what feminism actually stands for and why it matters-

Tumblrโ€™s need for feminism is a response to a recent New York Times article about feminism and its role in society. Instead of offering a clear definition of what feminism was and what it does, or trying to do, the blogโ€™s administrators asked women to define feminism on the singular basis of โ€œwomen.โ€ Tumblr Needs Feminism โ€œtries to dispel the negative stereotypes surrounding feminism by refuting the notion that it is no longer necessary.

Feminism can be anyone, but feminism is a choice and it is still our responsibility to fight for every womanโ€™s rights. Feminism and individual feminists say โ€œthis should be extended to all peaceful decisions that women can make. Even if women do not want to be feminists, that is their right; if we want equal rights for all, then all women are feminists.โ€

There is no right or wrong way to be a feminist, and there are no consequences to doing feminism wrong. There are those who are committed to the fierce struggle for equality, who are committed to destroying the notion of essential feminism. This is the perceived essentialism of some feminists, which is also a wrong feminist and is a sign that feminists are ethical and wrong in every way.

Women are supposed to be the ethical feminists who have it all and do it, but the wrong feminists offer women another way to try to be powerful in different ways, and they all fail.

Young women are often portrayed as โ€œ bad momsโ€ or โ€œfeministsโ€ who lecture on love when they should love themselves. Popular feminism goes to the root of the problem, adopts palatable feminism, encourages individual girls and women to simply be themselves, and encourages them to engage in and get along with โ€œpalatableโ€ feminism. Claiming the feminist framework as her own, Kubilay suggests that there is a synergy between immigration, postcolonialism, and feminism in Germany and that feminism is not a gift for white Western women. Seen by many as an undesirable element of feminism, โ€œradical feminismโ€ is actually an idea that has emerged from feminism and has been shaped and shaped by others, not for all branches of feminism, in different ways.
